Prevention and Protection

The role of the Prevention and Protection Service is to prevent accidents, injuries and occupational diseases in the workplace. The Service drafts and implements regulations and procedures in compliance with current legislation. Another important part of its role is to carry out regular inspections and to check that the risk assessment rules are applied, so that hazards and risks are kept to a minimum.

The Service must also ensure that all staff receive adequate health and safety training for their work. This includes mandatory training, such as emergency management and first aid.

For the people in the Service and how to reach them, see SISSAnet > Offices > Safety Service (SPP).
